Vote online at MTV, VH1, Fuse, BET, CMT & more
|
The number one way for you, as a fan, to support your favorite artists is to vote for them. Vote the Music (VTM) makes this easy by providing direct links to the voting pages of all the major video countdown shows and online music sites. Even better, VTM constantly scans all the voting sites to find the places where your artist is on the ballot. That means you don’t have to go from site to site to site looking for voting opportunities, just click on the vote button for your artist and you’ll know exactly where to vote.

Tell all your friends where and when to vote
|
After you logged in and voted, you can put yourself in charge of video promotion by making sure all your fellow fans know where to go to vote. VTM provides customizable links that you can e-mail to all your friends. These links will send everyone right to the voting page for your specified artist. Whether you’re on your own or part of a big fan club, this is the best way to get the word out. Sure, everybody knows about a big show like TRL, but you can let them know is also important to give support on Fuse, VH1 or even places like MTV Chi or MTV Desi. With VTM, one e-mail is all it takes to round up support everywhere it matters.

Keep up with all the results in one place. VTM provides a comprehensive listing of all the countdowns and sales charts so you always know what’s going on with your artist. With VTM’s charts, you’ll have all the historical data in one spot, as much info as any record business insider. And if you see your favorite artist start to slide out of the countdown on an important show, you can rally the troops and get the vote count back up again. Do this enough and soon you will be a record business insider, running the promotion department at a major label.

What is Vote The Music? |
| A. |
VTM is a central hub where fans can support their favorite artists by voting for them on television countdowns and on online charts.
|
| Q. |
How do my votes help my favorite artist? |
| A. |
Ever hear the phrase “Everybody loves a winner?” That’s particularly true in the entertainment business where decision makers like program directors and booking agents keep a close eye on the charts to see what artists are truly “hot.” Also, if you vote to help your favorite artist get on key television countdown shows, more people will see their videos and possibly go on to buy their music.
|
| Q. |
Why go Vote The Music instead of directly to the voting sites or artist sites? |
| A. |
It’s our job to keep track of ALL the places where you can vote to support your favorite artist. If you go directly to a voting site, you may miss another dozen sites where you can help out. Artist sites and fan sites often don’t have the resources to keep up with the constant changes in these voting pages. VTM is the only one-stop site specializing in music voting.
|
| Q. |
Why doesn’t VTM stream artist music and videos? |
| A. |
We’d rather link you to sites where each stream or download counts as a vote for your favorite artist. We will, however, publish our own list of the most visited sites as well as the most-viewed VTM artist pages.
|
| Q. |
Some of these shows only let me vote once a day. Is there any way around this? |
| A. |
While we have heard of fan sites that tell you how to cheat the system, we believe a better way is to recruit your friends to come to VTM and vote just like you did. Go to fan sites, social network pages, etc. and tell ‘em about Vote the Music. Click here for banners and other tools that you can send to your friends or drop on these sites.

| Q. |
What is the Soap Box? |
| A. |
Want to shout out about your favorite artist or beg people to vote, Soap Box is the spot. Share info, spread rumors, dis (nicely) your archrivals, whatever. Jump up on the Soap Box and have at it.
|
| Q. |
How do I let you know about a new show or chart that accepts votes? |
| A. |
On every artist voting page, there is a button labeled “Add a Polling Place.” Just click on the button and follow the directions. If you send us the URL to a new show, we’ll review it and then add it.
|
| Q. |
Is VTM limited to just the United States? |
| A. |
No. We’d love your help in locating polling places around the world. Use the “Add a Polling Place” feature described above and help us go worldwide.
|
| Q. |
What are those crazy links at the top of each page? |
| A. |
Those links direct you to the submission pages of popular social bookmarking sites like Spurl, Fark and del.icio.us. If you don’t know what social bookmarking sites are, then go to Wikipedia, because frankly we’d rather stick bamboo shoots in our eyeballs then try to explain it to you.
